the original idea on this layout was to solve purification access by overlaying its inputs with a debonder. overlapping this with disposal means i can get rid of atoms on sticks, and overlapping it further with the fire atom and unification leaves most of unification's hexes as free working space. blocking input on antimony gives me a truly luxurious four directions of basically free space to work with.

in practice the most important thing this space enables is the arbitrary creation and disposal of air atom scaffolding as long as it can be positioned into the disposal (which generally requires it to be no more than 3 atoms long, among other restrictions). the hotkeys for making scaffolding, F A A E A (E) R A A A, are permanently seared into my mind at this point. this technique is used first to juggle an earth from one side to the other to make quintessence, and later to enable spinning the product around to fix a couple bonds (i cannot move the product around more straightforwardly without breaking vital bonds).
